The Easter holiday is one of the busiest periods for surfboard hire on the Gold Coast, we can almost guarantee if the weather and waves are good all our surfboards will be rented out.

Broadbeach is positioned perfectly in the middle on the Gold Coast however there are no surf shops or hire businesses that operate in that area, this means it can be hard to hire a surfboard if you are not prepared. Stand Up Paddle (SUP HIre in Surfers Paradise

The hottest sport this summer is going to be stand up paddle (SUP) boarding. SUP is sweeping across the world as a easy, fun, social and healthy activity. After running stand up paddle hire and lessons in Surfers Paradise for 5 years now I have seen the popularity grow in huge numbers. Because any one can stand on SUP and be doing it within 5 minutes makes SUP hire a great activity, just give us a call, hire a board for an hour for $20 and you will have the best time.  Stand Up Paddle is done in the calm waters around Surfers Paradise, it is not done in the ocean and waves, this is what makes it easy, the boards are designed to be very stable and user friendly, you'll be surprised that you can just step on after some basic pointers and off you. We have two locations we prefer to hire the SUP's from, River Drive, Budds Beach and Macintosh Island, Main Beach these area's are protected from the strong winds and tides and are also great for kids.

If you prefer an instructor with you can book stand up paddle lesson and tour with the 1st Wave Surf School (Main Beach), phone Reagan on 0410 400 800 and he will take you through all the basic techniques and take you for a tour of the local area. Lesson run for 1.5 hours, all equipment is provided and the cost is $45 per person.

Stand Up paddle board hire Gold Coast and Surfers Paradise

 

We have a range of stand up paddle boards for hire and you can hire a sup for 1 hour of the entire day. We have two locations where you can hire a stand up paddle board on the Gold Coast but check with us first as we choose the location depending on the wind and weather.

You can hire a stand up paddle board at Budds Beach, just near Surfers Paradise and prices start from $20 for a 1 hour hire. We are usually available in the afternoons but check with us if you would like a morning SUP hire.

Our Macintosh Island / Narrowneck SUP hire location offers calm water and is located between Surfers Paradise and Main Beach on the northern end of the Gold Coast. This is a great spot as it has nice shaded parklands, kids playground, free BBQ's and toilets, ample free parking and is directly across the road from the surf beach, so you get the best of both worlds, nice calm water protected from strong winds to stand up paddle but you can also have a swim or surf in the waves across the road at narrowneck surfing beach.

There are other popular spots to hire a stand up paddle board on the Gold Coast. The hot Spots on the southern Gold Coast being Currumbin at the boat shed and also Tallebudgera.
